What Are You Afraid Of?

Me? I'm afraid of spiders 🕷️, deep water, and peering over the steep edge of a cliff (my palms are sweating just thinking about it 🫣).
On a deeper level, I'm afraid of making a mistake with a client, getting involved in an icky conflict or (sometimes) standing up for myself.
Fear often shows up with my clients too. Some of the things I hear people struggle with are:
Fear of making a change
Fear of being left out
Fear of being behind
Fear of disappointment
Fear of hurting someone's feelings
Fear of upsetting the apple cart
Fear of doing something hard
But these fears don't just slow progress and growth, they can completely stop it.
And speaking of fears, I'm climbing up Mount Rainier here shortly 😬.
I've wanted to summit a mountain for most of my life, and I definitely have a healthy level of fear given the risk involved (can you say "learning how to self arrest???").
However, I know the rewards and sense of accomplishment will be incredible, not to mention personal growth.
