Two years ago, I made a bold move -- I turned off my job search notifications and started my own business. This meant no steady income, no health insurance or paid vacations, no peer group to bounce ideas off of and no IT department to call when my computer or printer gave me trouble.
And I wouldn't trade it for anything. I've learned to be resourceful in new ways, to understand my worth and value, to ask for help more, to build a community of support and to market myself in a way that feels authentic to me.
I love the diversity of my clients, the flexibility in my schedule and the opportunity to do a lot of different things and have an impact. I've learned that organization effectiveness (the sweet spot of structure, culture and leadership) is my jam and I'm at my best when I can help fast changing and growing organizations and people be their best.
I'm so grateful for all the clients I've had over the last two years who've chosen to partner with me to elevate their organizations, their teams and themselves.
